Is it reasonable to assume that the world's greatest talents are unknown? You know who Christiano Ronaldo is, for example. You know who Beethoven was. The names Einstein, Picasso & Michael Jackson are not alien to you. But, I've always been fascinated by the very real possibility that these are merely names we know - rather than a comprehensive list of world greats. Is it not likely that we are hideously unaware of stunning talents - people who are remarkable, but people who are also, with regret, culturally invisible? Such is my obsession with these 'invisible icons', that whenever I stumble across them, I feel an overwhelming urge to do all I can to support them, assist them, make them visible. As an artist myself, I've experienced the [dreamlike] sensation of your art moving people all over the world, and frankly, I want every living artist to experience that, too. As I sit here, typing excitedly, there are few things I'm more proud of than bringing the artist responsible for these stunning paintings to Sheffield. He is unknown. He is invisible. He is remarkable. Introducing '7 EXHIBITION'. To get exhibition date & location alerts, pop your email address below - you don't want to miss this. CK x
